The Teddy Bear Hospital
The Teddy Bear Hospital is a fun and engaging way for children of all ages to learn about different hospital areas and ease anxieties about future visits. There are different stations that focus on specific areas: baby bears in the NICI incubators, a teddy bear X-ray, a volunteer-led “Pin the Organ” game, and more. Once they have visited all stations, children will get a certificate of completion to bring home!
Santa’s Toy Shop
Who said Santa’s workshop needed to be at the North Pole? At the Festival of Trees toy shop, kids get the full holiday experience and the joy of building something on their own. There are several do-it-yourself toy packages, which can then be painted and decorated to create a result that’s uniquely one-of-a-kind. Great for gifts, or to build together for family time!
Visits with Santa
Every day, Santa visits the Festival and makes time to visit with kids from around the region. He listens closely to all their special wishes, inspires them to be on the “Nice” list, and ends each visit with a picture-perfect moment that you can treasure for years to come. Listen for the jolly laughter and look out for the team of elves who help to keep things moving!
Letters to Santa
Does your child have so much to say to Santa that it won’t fit in one visit? Why not send a letter, too? Little ones can write their own special message and drop it off at the Festival, where it will be sent all the way up to the North Pole. If you make sure to include a return address, every letter will also receive a response from Santa himself – the perfect thing to brighten any child’s day.
Entertainment on the Main Stage
You can’t have a festival without live entertainment! Each day, there will be a changing rotation of performances – dancers, singers, choirs, musicians, artists, and more. Watching a show is the perfect way to relax before heading back out to the different Festival areas, and each performance is sure to bring a smile to family members of all ages and interests.
The Kids’ Secret Shop
Discover a special place for little ones to shop for their family and friends. There are no adults allowed in the Secret Shop (but there are elves to help guide them and stay within budget)! Send in your little one and they will come out with wrapped gifts that are ready to go under the tree (all gifts are under $10).
Children’s World
A haven for children of all ages, Children’s World is a special activity station filled with things to do. Kids will enjoy crafts, games, decorating, and other activities with others at the Festival, making it a perfect place to meet new friends and try out new skills. Crafts can be made on-site, or taken home in prepackaged kits.
Seniors’ Stockings
Make a senior’s Christmas extra special with a generous and thoughtful gift! The Seniors’ Stockings program delivers stockings from our generous Festival supporters to patients in long-term care facilities, such as Mackenzie Place, who may not otherwise receive a gift. Each one makes a world of difference to a senior in the community, and you can teach wonderful lessons about the spirit of Christmas.
Miniature Tree Land
Explore the excitement of miniature trees, displayed and decorated by individuals, businesses, school groups, and others in the community. These trees are a delight to view, with each one spectacularly dressed up in its own unique theme and style. Plus, all the trees in Miniature Tree Land are for sale to take home to enjoy! To enter a tree of your own, contact us today!
